Kim is a HR and Development Specialist and Life Coach based in County Durham. Having worked in HR in public and private sector organisations for the last 25 years, 2016 was to be the year to create Different HR Ltd.
Over the years having witnessed the incredible benefits of helping managers develop the skills they need for this challenging job has been a pleasure and something Kim is very proud of. Graduating in 2002 with a First Class Honours degree in Human Resource Management, Kim also became CIPD qualified (to what’s known as Level 7 now). Since then Kim has taken her own development seriously to keep her knowledge up to date.
In 2015, Kim qualified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. This means she is able to practice in NLP commonly referred to as mindfulness techniques. This can bring a world of benefits to your life from addressing anxieties and fears to achieving confidence and improved communication to enhance your interactions with others. A skill that has enhanced how Kim approaches her role. During lockdown, Kim enjoyed studying a Life Coaching Diploma and is currently focusing on developing her skills further with an advanced course on neuroscience in Coaching alongside developing valuable online people skills training to help managers address overwhelm, regain their work life balance, experience less stress and enjoy their jobs again by learning crucial skills and gaining confidence to handle their roles without sacrificing their health and wellbeing. Beyond her interest in helping others believe in themselves and reach their potential, Kim enjoys nothing more than spending time walking her dog with her husband. With inexpensive tastes, her favourite chocolate being Cadbury’s. An animal lover, Kim enjoys travelling to new places, shopping and is fascinated by Bletchley Park. Her guilty pleasure when time allows is back to back episodes of 24 or Friends depending on whether the mood calls for action or comedy!
